How long have you been in business?
I just celebrated 20 years in business
What is your primary product or service?
Weddings 👰🏾, Events🎉, and Travel 🏖
How did you first become interested in your line of business? (if owner) - What is your background? (If owner or store manager)
I've been planning weddings since I was a little girl. My godsister and I use to go through the JCPenney and Sears catalogs planning every detail from wedding to honeymoon to home design to baby. We my godsis got married many years later I was the only person she thought of. I also went on a cruise for high school graduation and fell in love with travel. I went to school for it immediately after the trip and graduated in the top 1% of my class. I'd tried to offer help in event planning for my current employer but was overlooked. I also applied for a job at a company I already worked for as their in house travel agent. All I really had to do was call an agency to have them set up the travel arrangements but I was told I didn't qualify. Wow! I didn't qualify to make a phone call though I went to school for everything the travel agent does! I was blown away. But it also set a determination to show them who I was and what I was made of. So I quit and started my own business and never looked back! I decided these two fields went hand in hand and the rest was history.
How do you differentiate yourself from other businesses in your category and area?
I go above and beyond to take care of my clients giving them personal touches to make their experience more enjoyable and memorable. If there are extra tasks to get the event or vacation to be what they dream of I will do it. I am truly about making my customers feel at ease and enjoy the entire process.
How many locations do you have and do you have plans to expand?
There is only one location for Rendezvous by Dawn. The plan is to keep it that was so I can personally touch everyone who blesses me with their business.

Credit, debit, cash, certified funds(i.e. money orders, bank checks) No personal or company checks

Who owns your company or runs daily operations?
RbD is owned and run daily by Dawn Richardson (myself)
What are your hours of operation?
Monday-Friday 9:00am - 4:00pm Saturday 9:00am-1:00pm unless you already have a booked and deposited event Sunday is by appointment only
What is the best compliment anyone can give you?
That they had the best time, never had to stress over anything and they can't wait to tell all their friends to call me
What is your favorite quote or Bible verse?
Wherever your mind goes your body can and will follow. Once you make any decision to move or make changes it has to happen in your mind first. Your body always had and will have the strength to do whatever you want to do but it's not activated until it's activated in your mind.
