How long have you been in business?
I organized my first safari in 1996 and have been traveling to Africa for 25 years.
What is your primary product or service?
I arrange and sometimes lead guests on an Africa safari to Eastern and Southern Africa. I have a network of suppliers and ground staff in Africa as well as many friends that I have made over the years. This enables me to arrange safaris that meet my guests' expectations and budgets.
How did you first become interested in your line of business? (if owner) - What is your background? (If owner or store manager)
My hobby was and is wildlife photography. I have traveled extensively throughout Africa, North and South America, and Asia. My friends begin to ask for advice and guidance regarding Adventure Travel. I began by organizing safari trips for friends. I officially chartered my business when it was appropriate. My business experience includes management positions with a Fortune 500 company and an MBA degree.
How do you differentiate yourself from other businesses in your category and area?
I have personal experience and many contacts throughout Africa that enable me to place my guests in the best places and at the best prices.
How many locations do you have and do you have plans to expand?
My office is in St Louis but using technology, I can operate from any geographic location. I am negotiating to open an office in Victoria Falls and expect to have it in operation in 2018.
